Hi everyone!

I hope you're all doing really well! Apologies for the lack of newsletter last month, I was very sick at the time so decided to give it a miss, but I'm doing much better now!

To catch you up on what's currently going on, we've been doing some work on the After Dark CG's and you might have already seen the sexy sneak peek of Damon's one! As well as that we're working on getting some scenes together to get an Episode 9 beta going on Patreon, which like the previous betas will be slowly updated over time.

Your inner sass is definitely coming out more in Episode 9, and you might get the chance to play cupid with some characters, depending on choices you've made previously (or just tease them for the hell of it).

Another thing we wanted to bring to your attention pretty early on is that we've made the decision that from the Episode 9 release of Andromeda Six, the game will no longer be free to download, and will instead be paid.

We were initially going to wait until Episode 10 before pricing the game, but after serious planning and consideration we've decided to instead price it from Episode 9 for the following reasons:

• We know that realistically Episode 10 and the following Epilogue will be the toughest to make, and we want A6 to go out with a bang! We already have a list of additional features we're planning to add like multiple endings, illustrated end cards, and additional sprite outfits, which I know will be a lot of extra work, but very much worth it.
• A6 has become a much bigger project that we originally intended! With the game currently sitting at over 330k words, we believe that the massive amount of work we've put into the game, as well as the work planned for the future, deserves to be fairly compensated, and any additional funding will be a massive help towards making the final game everything we've been hoping it will be.
• We very much believe in challenging the stigma that indie games should be free or cheap, as if they're less worthy of financial compensation, and along with some other dev friends are hoping to work towards a future where indie devs can feel more confident pricing their games and being fairly compensated for the enormous amount of work that goes into these projects, especially with many of the team members taking on multiple roles during development.

Andromeda Six will remain free to download up until the Episode 9 release, which is still a little while a way, but we want to make sure you all have plenty of notice in advance!
